Payments & billing
Your Stripe. Zero platform fees.
Connect your own Stripe account and keep your processing relationship — MapleGather adds no surcharge on top of it. Dues, event fees, and manual check payments all flow through the same clean billing system, with invoices and receipts sent automatically.

A MapleGather difference
No cut of your money
Some platforms charge a hefty surcharge unless you use their in-house payment processor. We don't. You connect your own Stripe account, your processor charges its standard rate, and MapleGather takes zero platform transaction fees. Your dues are your dues.

Billing that handles the boring parts
- Automatic invoices — clear, tax-ready line items for every membership, event, and charge
- Automatic receipts — sent on every payment — online, manual, or admin-recorded
- Manual & offline payments — record checks and cash so they settle invoices exactly like online payments
- One-action refunds — the money actually moves back through Stripe — no separate trip to the processor portal
- Charge a stored card — take a phone-in payment or settle an offline purchase right from the record
- Searchable payment history — filter by member, date, amount, method, or status, and export it

No payment surprises for members
When a renewal card fails, the member sees exactly what's happening in their own portal — the failed charge, when the next automatic retry lands, and a one-click link to update their card without losing their membership. No silent lapses, no "why was I cancelled?" support tickets. It's the Stripe-style candour we hold ourselves to everywhere: tell people what happened and what to do next.
On the roadmap
More billing depth ahead
PayPal as a second processor, US sales-tax configuration, downloadable branded PDF invoices, QuickBooks Online and Xero exports, account-balance credits, a per-processor sandbox mode, and nonprofit donation receipts that follow IRS Pub 1771 are on the near-term roadmap. Donations and fundraising campaigns are coming too — we'll list them here as available the moment they land.
